About

Lazer Happy is an art production studio and curatorial project founded by artist Adrian Tone in collaboration with Gerard Kilgallon. It aims to remove barriers that separate a cloistered art world from the public by creating highly refined works, fully realized marketing campaigns, and a continual commitment to collaboration and reinvention. With a constant willful eye towards contemporary pop culture and the zeitgeist, Lazer Happy invites its audience to relax and delight in the pleasure of artmaking.

MCA - Chicago
— LaZer @ Jun 23, 2006 @ 11:53 am

so we rented a U-Haul, filled it up with all our blue stuff, and unloaded on the front steps of the MCA. the timing coincided with a “contemporary” art and design auction featuring work by Chicago artists. we thought it was a great fun time, and best of all nobody even cared that we weren’t supposed to be there. the people just walking by the museum seemed to like it. they kept stopping, looking, taking pictures. the people that were going to the auction however were too buisy asking if it was art or not… maybe those birdhouses were obstructing their view.

we also have a video of us setting it up. if we find time, we’ll even put it on the website.

ok. I’m back in Chicago… and slowly everything is getting back to normal. We have already started working on stuff for the next season.

OUR FIRST “Blue Takeover” show will be going on on June 22nd from 6-9. outdoor performance sculptures. location to be disclosed on the day of, so keep posted. we like contemporary art, design and cocktail parties.

We are pleased to inform everyone that LazerHappy Studios will most likely keep its space for at least six months to a year. thanks to everyone for their support without which we wouldnt of made it.
