About

Lazer Happy is an art production studio and curatorial project founded by artist Adrian Tone in collaboration with Gerard Kilgallon. It aims to remove barriers that separate a cloistered art world from the public by creating highly refined works, fully realized marketing campaigns, and a continual commitment to collaboration and reinvention. With a constant willful eye towards contemporary pop culture and the zeitgeist, Lazer Happy invites its audience to relax and delight in the pleasure of artmaking.

more work…
— LaZer @ Jul 26, 2005 @ 6:04 am

ok, finally a chance to write a semi-serious update. So far this summer we have been insaenly lucky, and of course terribly overworked. LazerHAppy Studios has managed to move into an actual gallery space off the Blue Line Grand stop, minutes away from the west loop. The gallery space is now finally fixed. Holes patched, drywall put up, lights fixed, etc. The bedrooms too should get finished within a week… I took some pictures of them in the works.

I also managed to update my mailling list software, so no more bounced or spam labeled e-mail. I also got around to designing the announcement layout…. so expect neat, new and colorfull e-mails from me. Dont worry, if you dont like pictures in your mailbox, text only versions of the announcements are also available.

The website still needs to get updated. Im going to try to get an artists statement from every artist, as well as update their portfolios with new work. Also, the Store section of the website is also being worked on. As I have said before sometime in the near future a limited edition of lazerhappy posters should be available, as well as a publication of sorts.

anyway, enough rants. We are organizing a house-warming party to celebrate our new location (1157 W. Grand) this friday @ 10 PM. refreshments will be probived, and best of all every1 is invited.

Still working

ok, I finally managed to get my hands on a digital camera and take some pictures of the new space and the neighborhood. So far everything is going as planned, but there is a lot more work to be done before the start of the season. We are very excited and hope to finish everything off in time…. and we will.
