About

Lazer Happy is an art production studio and curatorial project founded by artist Adrian Tone in collaboration with Gerard Kilgallon. It aims to remove barriers that separate a cloistered art world from the public by creating highly refined works, fully realized marketing campaigns, and a continual commitment to collaboration and reinvention. With a constant willful eye towards contemporary pop culture and the zeitgeist, Lazer Happy invites its audience to relax and delight in the pleasure of artmaking.

restructuring at lazerhappy
— LaZer @ Mar 25, 2005 @ 10:32 pm

I have been doing a lot of thinking, and I am not satisfied with the direction that lazerhapy studios has been heading lately. I started lazerhappy with a couple of goals in mind. One of them was to provide a small clean venue that could foster an inteligent discussion about art. Another was to have a place where me and my friends could put work up and take a look at what we are doing. And yet another was to provide the perfect excuse for me to start writing. The later goal was met sucesfully…

My goals right now however, focus mainly PR work. Making flyers, talking to everyone that I meet, getting the next show organized, and worst of all, trying to push people to show work at lazerhappy. Something needs to change because I have diverged from my original plan…

a more in depth anouncement about the future of lazerhappy will be up soon (as soon as I get home actually….. which might be a couple of days)

    Welcome To The Island
    — LaZer @ Mar 7, 2005 @ 12:08 am

LazerHAppy Studios is pleased to announce its next event:
    Welcome To The Island,
An installation by Mr. White and Associates.

    March 11th ‘05
    7:30pm – 10:30
    1157 west 19th street

The island is nice and sunny.
The island is nice and sunny. Its one of those islands to you often see pictures of in travel offices. The ones with nice crystal clear blue waters.

There is also a genie that lives inside a lamp. He is a very lonely geenie… but he can still grant you wishes. *

This installation by Brandon White involves nicely painted plywood cutouts, and a large supply of grapes, really nice big perky grapes.

If you were to pick someone to be stranded on a desert island with you, who would it be? Would they be carrying a basket full of fruit?
