About

Lazer Happy is an art production studio and curatorial project founded by artist Adrian Tone in collaboration with Gerard Kilgallon. It aims to remove barriers that separate a cloistered art world from the public by creating highly refined works, fully realized marketing campaigns, and a continual commitment to collaboration and reinvention. Elliot Layda’s Space
— LaZer @ Feb 18, 2005 @ 10:16 pm

Today I went to the grand opening of Elliot Laydas small gallery located in his advanced painting studio.
The space itself looks much more awseome that I expected it to, and it is worth the trip just to see how exactly he pulled it off… because he did an amazing job at it. The actual show is very good as well. It consisted of Laura Owens ripoff paintings done by these artists from e-bay. They are surprisingly charming.

So, check it out.

Reception: 6-9 Friday feb 18th.
Gallery Hours: Mon, Wed, Thur 9-4

Upcoming show.
— LaZer @ Feb 13, 2005 @ 11:39 am

The upcoming show will be curated by Gerard Kilgallon. More info coming soon.

The February show was a lot of fun. Thanks to all that managed to make it all the way over here. If you couldnt make it, we understand, and you can check out the web-version of “the big A” in the past events section.

February also meant the start of an ongoing installation by one of our own lazerhappy artists, Gerard Kilgallon. The installation is called “Friend Of The Month” and will feature a new friend every month for 12 months. More info and pictures about that as soon as I clean my room and grab some food (which might mean a couple of days).

I also got a lot of feedbak on my e-mail announcements and flyers. Apparently they were a little confusing to people. Its ok, I will make improvements and little by little things will get a lot clearer.

Thank you, and stay tuned for more lazerhappy happenings.

The Big “A”
— LaZer @ Feb 2, 2005 @ 11:05 pm

The Big “A”

The big A stands for excellence. The big A stands for that little voice inside all of us that says: “I know I can, I know I can”. The big A is there to remind us about the little cloud man reaching for the last cold one. And oh what a costly mistake that proved to be.

William’s prints are part of an amazing allegory that is packed with many colorful characters, featuring among others the flying pig, as the flying pig, Superman, as Jesus, and the little cloud men as the oblivious inhabitants.

Our last and only hope lies with Superman… too bad he just got a spanking new pair of headphones.

and what is up with those ridiculous dippers anyway?

Opening reception: February 11th, 7-10pm, show runs untill March 5th
